MODERN CONTEMPORARY FURNITURE !!!

without comments

This beautiful piece of modern and contemporary storage furniture is designed and manufactured in Germany by Mueller. Made of 1 to 3mm thick Steel this is a very strong, well made product not to mention unique. For comparison, sheet steel for cars is 0.8mm thick. For painting, the manufactured uses acrylic paint specific to the car industry including metallic and pearl finishes. The advantage: the surfaces are particularly hard wearing, non-sensitive and easy-care. This piece looks good, and I feel that pieces of furniture that combine wood and white plastic or steel will be the future ofmodern contemporary furniture. They look good and are very strong.

The Flare units are made up of computer controlled metal flake bodies which are by supplemented pneumatic cylinders. A great futuristic outer shell for any building. Because of the shape and size of each unit it can be placed on any designed modern building.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE ON A HIGHER PLANE !!!

without comments

Namba Parks is a really amazing piece of architecture, a place where you’ll spend half your time shopping and the other half admiring the design. It stands where Osaka’s baseball stadium used to be until 2003, and consists of a 30-floor skyscraper, Parks Tower, and 120-tenant shopping mall which includes many restaurants and a cinema. The eight floors of terraced gardens, boutique stores, big brands and trendy dining have been an instant hit in shopping-mad Osaka. In addition to providing a highly visible green component in a city where nature is sparse, the sloping park connects to the street, welcoming passers-by to enjoy its groves of trees, clusters of rocks, cliffs, lawn, streams, waterfalls, ponds and outdoor terraces.

Now thats called being innovative

NORWAY’S NEW OPERA HOUSE ROCKS !!!

without comments

On April 12 2008 one of the most spectacular opera houses in the world opened in Oslo. The construction of the new opera house is the largest single cultural-political initiative in contemporary Norway. It took five years to build and the cost is estimated to 500 million Euros. The result is an extraordinary building in white marble with a roof surface that rises directly from beneath the fjord. The opera house is designed by the acknowledged Norwegian architecture firm Snohetta. It is the biggest cultural landmark built in the country since the Trondheim cathedral was finished in 1300 A.D.

As always love to hear your comments

A CYBER EGG !!!

without comments

India is truly the flavor of the new millennium and the land that has for centuries mesmerized and intrigued travelers from across the globe is all set to enthrall with its distinct design sensibilities once again. And although no one is out to build another Taj Mahal just yet, a company called Cybertecture International is all set to bejewel the business capital of the nation, Mumbai, with a stunning high tech luxury office design that will curiously enough resemble the shape of an egg. Based on futuristic interactive building designs, the Cybertecture Egg will be one of the most high-tech offices in the world with PV panels, a wind turbine and a sky garden that will generate electricity via thermolysis as well as an eco-cool water filtration system that will recycle grey water for use in the building. The super-futuristic office will also have some pretty smashing on-site health check systems like weigh-ins and blood pressure monitors installed in the washrooms. The project is set to be complete sometime in the year 2010

Here’s to India
