Resembling a giant toothbrush end complete with bristles, this unique sofa is designed in such a way that each of the bristle is supposed to give you a comfortable and soothing massage. It is far removed from the regular furniture we get to see everyday as part of our livingroom furniture. This sofa is a concept which is the result of a student from UK designer furniture college. While this sofa may form a part of a teenage student’s dorm room furniture, I doubt if this would be seen as part of traditional livingroom furniture.
Here is an example of an “out of the box” “boxy ” design ! Do Lo Res” sofa is a very creative design by Ron Arad. Do Lo Res is a very up-to-the-minute sofa composed of several soft, square-based cube- or rectangular-shaped units of various heights. The units are so arranged in rows to form the unique shape of the sofa, and fixed to a platform by steel pins. All the cubes that form the sofa are similar in section but vary in height. They are made of different-density polyurethane foam; a stiffer foam is used at the bottom of each unit in order to grip the steel pin, while softer foam at the top ensures optimum comfort. Do Lo Res units may be rearranged according to your creative idea to form a wide variety of shapes and compositions of the sofa furniture.
This sofa, nicknamed as Home sweet Home, is definitey bound to make you at ease and comfortable.On the exterior the Home Sweet Home Sofa is coated and varnished, on the inside PU-foam upholstery, covered with leather, cover removeable making it a ease of use furniture. Looking at this sofa it resembles a small room in a house and with the addition of some curtains around it , you are all set for privacy with this sofa furniture.
